Submit for A2P 10DLC Campaign Registry Approval to Allow SMS/Texting from Aidium

A2P 10DLC Campaign Registry is a 3rd party requirement for sending SMS/Texts from any platform, including Aidium. This process involves a few steps that must be completed by an Aidium admin and requires basic and legal information about your company.

"The Campaign Registry" (TCR) was created by a consortium of cell phone carriers to drastically reduce the potential for SPAM and 'scam' text messages from reaching cell phones. Not only does this increase the security and protection of anyone with a cell phone, but also increases the quality of messaging and chances of legitimate messages being read.

The registration requirements are managed by "The Campaign Registry" (TCR) and Aidium must adhere to them. We have and are continuing to taking great lengths to ensure ease in submitting for this approval.

In this article, we will explain the steps that are required by you or an Aidium administrator.

🚧  Sending SMS/Texts from Aidium is not available until TCR approval is completed. There are no exceptions and this is our of Aidium's realm of influence. Every platform that allows for SMS/Texts to be sent, must be approved for sending on your behalf.

 

Before you begin, it's important to know or have available the following details about your company:

  1. Legal Business Name - This cannot simply be a 'team name', it must be the legal entity, registered with the government for tax and legal purposes.
  2. Physical Address - This must be the address your Legal Business is registered.
  3. Business Type - Coop, Corp, LLC, Non-Profit, Partnership
  4. Company Status - Private or Public (If public, it will require Ticker Symbol and Exchange)
  5. Business Registration Number (EIN) - This is easily obtained from HR or just about any tax document (including a W2)
  6. Website - This must be a fully compliant website URL that includes the above #1, #2 and #3, clearly listed on the website, along with compliant TCPA language on any contact form.

Obtain the information of a legal representative for your company:

Be sure this person is available for a few weeks after submitting, understands the reasoning for TRC approval, has the authority to direct changes based on TCR feedback, and can make legal decisions on behalf of the company.

Locate and Submit Business Information in Aidium

To start this process, you must log-in to Aidium as an Administrator.  Make sure you have all of the above information ready to enter. All information should be entered in a single session.

  1. Once you are logged-in to Aidium as an admin and you have clicked on your Enterprise. Click on the drop-down at the top-left and choose 'Enterprise Settings'.

    Then choose 'Integrations'.

  2. Next, the 'Enterprise Integrations' page will load. We'll concentrate on the first section, 'Phone and Text Messages'.

    There will be 3 distinct pages of information required, each with an icon showing done, "green check", or to-do, "red X". To the right will be an 'edit' icon. By clicking the icon, we'll be able to update each page with the required company, contact and messaging details.

  3. Next, click the 'Edit' button for "Business Details". This is where we will enter all the information listed in the top section of this article. Everything is required before clicking the 'Save' button.

    When adding EIN - be sure to follow the formatting requested, including 'dash'.
    When adding website, be sure to use 'https://' at the beginning.

    Saving is disabled until all required information is added and formatted correctly.
  4. After 'saving', the information will be displayed on the Enterprise Profile page. But more importantly, we'll receive a "green check" next to each item we've completed.

  5. Next, click the 'Edit' button for "Point of Contact". The point of contact should be a designated and available rep at our company who is able and legally authorized to make business decisions on behalf of the company.

    Saving is disabled until all required information is added and formatted correctly.

  6. After 'saving', the information will be displayed on the Enterprise Profile page. But more importantly, we'll receive a "green check" next to each item we've completed.

  7. Next, click the 'Edit' button for "Messaging User Case". Here we're presented with 4 open-text fields. In the following image, we demonstrate the expected details for each field. Each is specific to us, our company, our messaging and how a client can opt-in to receiving messages on our website.

    These must be accurate and legal to receive approval from "The Campaign Registry" (TCR). Aidium, nor Twilio, can approve this or request special considersation.

    Campaign Description: Tells the purpose of using SMS/Texting for communications from our company.
    Sample Message #1 & #2: A straight-forward message that are mostly likely going to be sent from our company.
    How do recipients consent to receive text messages (opt-in)?: This should be very specific instructions on how our company can receive approval for messaging a contact. Usually, this will be our corporate website and contact page that contains TCPA compliant language - Ideally with a checkbox for acknowledgement of said TCPA compliant language. "The Campaign Registry" (TCR) will verify steps provided before issuing approval.

  8. After all the information is entered and saved, it will look like the following and the 'Submit A2P 10DLC Registration' button will become active and ready to click to submit.

    Each category can be edited BEFORE submitting, by clicking the 'edit' button to the right of the category.
  9. After clicking the 'Submit A2P 10CDLC Registration' button, all of the information provided will be send for approval to "The Campaign Registry" (TCR).

    The initial approval process will take at least 2-days and up-to 14-days.

    Additionally, the A2P 10DLC Registration Status will change to "In Progress".

  10. Once approved, the account submitting for approval will be notified via email and the 'Phone and Text Messages' section will show a full approval.

    At this point, any team that has a sending number setup, will be able to send SMS/Text messages from Aidium.

  11. If the registration is rejected by "The Campaign Registry" (TCR), we'll receive an email letting us know and the Aidium support department will contact us directly to review the steps to obtain approval and re-submission.

At any point during this process, it is encouraged to ask questions, by emailing support@thinkaidium.com, before submitting for approval. Asking questions during before submitting can save time by increasing the chances of approval on the first attempt.
