Getting Started with General Settings in Daily AI

Are you brand new to Daily AI? Start here to configure your general settings.

General settings allow you to view, customize, and remove user information. From here, you can manage phone/text credit allotments, email signatures, virtual business cards (vCards), your password, and more. 

To access general settings, log into your Daily AI Account at mortgage.dailyai.io. Navigate to “Settings” at the bottom of the toolbar.

Managing User Information

In general settings, you can edit your name, user type, website URL, email, verified phone number, and Twilio phone number.

Tip: Before you proceed, verify that your user information is correct, including: 

  • Name
  • Email
  • Verified Phone Number (your actual phone number)
  • Daily AI Phone Number  (the phone number you want to give to clients)
  • Organization Name

To change your user email:

  1. Click the edit icon next to the email address. This icon is noted with text “Change  Email”. 
  2. Click “New Email” and enter in the desired email address. 
  3. Click “Confirm” — your prompt will now send an email verification code to the new email.
  4. Log back with the new email. Copy the verification code and enter it where prompted.
  5. Once the code is verified, you will be logged out of your DailyAI account and asked to log in one more time to confirm the change. 

Tip:  Before navigating to a new area of general settings, save your current changes via the save button at the bottom of the page. 

“User Name" is the name provided by the user during registration. “User Type” is the role selected during registration. To change your name or user type, please contact your team lead to do so. 


Verified Phone Number

The user verified phone is the phone number selected by the user during registration. This is typically the user's mobile or office number. To change this phone number, follow these steps: 

  1. Click the edit icon next to the phone number, this icon is noted with text “Change Phone Number” You will now be prompted with a display showing current phone number, a text field asking for your new phone number and two options to edit this number on your “Virtual Business Card” and your “Website”. 
  2. Click the text field “Enter New Number”. Enter this number, choose the fields desired and then click “Call to Verify” 
  3. This prompt will now display a six digit verification code and the number requested will be called. 
  4. When prompted, enter is the code provided. 

Twilio Number

The user's Twilio number is also created during registration. This is the outbound number used for contact calling, voice drops/ringless voicemails, SMS, and MMS. If you would like to edit this number, please follow these steps:

  1. Click the edit icon next to the Twilio number. The edit icon is noted with text “Change Twilio Number”. A dialog box will appear with your current Twilio number, a text field asking for your desired area code, and one option to edit this number in your virtual business card. 
  2. Click on “Area Code” and input your preferred area code. 
  3. Twilio will search for any available numbers corresponding to the area code provided. Click the open column next to the area code to select an available number. 
  4. If none are available, please wait 24 hours to perform this edit again. You may also try again right away with a different area code, if applicable. 
  5. Once a Twilio number is selected, click confirm. You will now be sent a prompt to confirm the requested phone number requested and understand its effect on new outbound engagement. 
  6. Please read all information regarding this change. If you would like to continue, click confirm.

Organization Name

The user organization name is either selected by you during registration or by your team’s super admin. If you have full user permissions, this field can be edited. 

  1. Click the “Edit” Icon on the right side of the contact card. 
  2. This will prompt a display showing user information that can be edited. 
  3. If “Organization Name” will allow you to edit, click this field. If not, contact your super admin. 
  4. If you can make this change, enter in the new organization name and click save. 

Managing Custom Fields

Depending on your user type, custom fields can be created for contacts, transactions and users. 

Navigate to the hamburger menu in the upper left hand corner of your settings homepage.Click on “Custom Fields” near the bottom of the list.

All fields created by super admins and managers will display in the section. These can be edited or you can add new ones here if you have permission to do so. 


Managing My Credits

Located to the right of “Custom Information,” this shows you all remaining credits for outreach that month, including 

  • Phone calls
  • Texting (SMS)
  • Voice drops/ringless voicemails
  • Video texting (MMS)
  • Email campaigns 

If you need more monthly credits, you can purchase an unlimited dialer. This requires you to have payment permissions — contact your manager or super admin if you don’t. 

  1. Click “Unlimited Dialer.”
  2. If an existing card is found, you will have the option to use this one or add a new card.
  3. Once a card has been selected or entered, you can complete the purchase. 
  4. You will now see unlimited credits added to your phone calling allotment.

Tip: To the right of your credits, you will see your “Renewal Date”. This renewal date is written in European format (DD/MM/YYY). For example, a renewal date of October 18th, 2021 will display as: “Your Renewal Date”: 18/10/2021.

 

Note: If you run out of credits, you will be automatically billed for a recharge if your enterprise has chosen this option during setup. Otherwise, your enterprise super admin user will be billed. Recharges cost $15 for SMS, or $10 for any other type of credit.


Managing your Email Signature 

You can create a new email signature or paste in an existing one for all email messaging. Click “Email Signature” on the toolbar beneath your user information to get started. 

Tip: Use your keyboard commands (Ctrl + V / Command + V) to paste your email signature.


Managing your V-Card

Your virtual business card (V-Card) is a contact card that can be attached to SMS messages. This allows leads to save your information directly into their mobile phone. Click on “V-Card” in the toolbar below user information. The information included on this virtual business card is: 

  • First Name 
  • Last Name 
  • Mobile Phone Number 
  • Daily AI Phone Number 
  • Company Name 
  • Email 
  • Website URL 

If you would like to edit your V-Card information, click the edit icon in the lower right hand side of this page

Tip: If editing information that is engagement specific, please make sure you are adding information that matches the user information in Daily AI.

If you'd like to add a custom message to this contact card, click the share icon (next to the edit icon). 

  1. Click the icon to the left of the edit icon, this will prompt a display to enter in first name and a short message to attach the contact card.


Managing your Password 

You can manage your password in the toolbar on the general settings page. “Password” is located to the right of “V-Card”. 

To change your password:

  1. Click “Current Password” and enter in the current password for your login. 
  2. Click “New Password” and enter in the desired password. 
  3. Click “Confirm Password” and enter in the same password in the previous step. Click “Save”. 
  4. You will be logged out of your current account to reenter the new password and confirm the change.
