A2P 10DLC SMS Requirements
This guide outlines the critical website requirements—including specific language for your Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions, as well as clear consent mechanisms—that must be met to ensure successful A2P 10DLC (Application-to-Person 10-Digit Long Code) campaign registration and uninterrupted text messaging services through the Lendware platform.
Purpose
To enable text messaging through Lendware, mobile carriers require specific disclosures on your public website. Lendware registers SMS messaging on your behalf, but approval is dependent on your website meeting these requirements. If these requirements cannot be verified, text messages may be blocked or rejected by mobile carriers.
We have put together a sample page with examples of what our provider and the carriers require. Please review the page at: https://www.familybusinessmortgage.com. Please note that we are only providing these examples. The requirements fall on you and your organization to provide the language.
Required Website Pages
Your website must include both of the following:
- Privacy Policy
- Terms and Conditions (or Terms of Use)
Both pages must be:
- Publicly accessible
- Hosted on your primary business domain
- Clearly labeled and easy to locate
Privacy Policy Requirements
Your Privacy Policy must explicitly reference SMS/text messaging.
It must include:
- Collection of phone numbers
- Use of phone numbers for SMS/text messages
- How consumer data is stored or protected
- Opt-out instructions for SMS messaging
- A statement that consumer data is not sold or shared without consent
- Message Frequency
Example language:
We may collect your phone number when you submit forms or interact with our services. Phone numbers may be used to send transactional or informational text messages related to your inquiry, application, or account. Message frequency may vary. You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP. We do not sell or share consumer phone numbers for marketing purposes without consent.

Terms and Conditions Requirements
Your Terms and Conditions page must include:
- Consent to receive SMS/text messages
- Description of SMS communications
- Opt-out instructions
- Message Frequency
Example language:
By providing your contact information, you consent to receive communications from us, including text messages related to your inquiry, application, or account. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.

SMS Consent Language
Your website must clearly show how users consent to receive SMS messages.
Consent language must:
- Be explicit and visible
- Appear near phone number collection
- Not be pre-checked
- Include opt-out language
- Frequency of messaging
Example consent disclosure:
By submitting this form, you agree to receive text messages from [Business Name]. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.

Domain Matching Requirement
The domain used for SMS registration must match the website being reviewed.
All required pages must live on that same domain.
What Happens If Requirements Are Not Met
If any requirement cannot be verified:
- SMS registration may be rejected or suspended
- Messages may fail or be blocked
- SMS cannot be enabled until issues are corrected
